Education is one of the most powerful tools that can change the destiny of a nation. It has far reaching social, economic and political implications. However, many a times because of factors like socio-economic and cultural barriers it fails to reach uniformly to its recipients. Education and equality both are indispensible facts of a welfare state and which India has been striving for long. Though Right to Education is now a fundamental right yet it fails to fulfil the mandate with regard to the tribal children in India. The biggest challenge is to educate these tribal children while at the same time preserving their culture and dialect. Even today since most of the societies are culturally driven the children belonging to the tribal groups face many challenges like social integration, equality, and education. The onus on preservation of their culture is on the shoulders of these young lives where they have to gain knowledge and yet keep their dialects and cultures ignited. Therefore education and equality for these children goes hand in hand and yet they have not uniformly achieved it. Considering the intricacies of this problem, Nawal Foundation is organising one day seminar to address these issues with the hope to come up with some noteworthy suggestion and recommendations which can be fruitful for each child in India because though we humans, have developed tendencies of discrimination yet the only place where innocence resides without any discrimination is childhood and each child is the future on a nation.
