About the Founder

Arpita is a legal scholar and social impact professional with a Ph.D. in Law, specializing in the critical area of sexual harassment of women at the workplace. With a strong academic foundation and extensive field experience, she has dedicated her work to advancing gender justice, child rights, and safe institutional environments.

She has worked intensively across domains of women's rights and child protection, leading grassroots interventions, awareness campaigns, and capacity-building initiatives. Through her leadership, numerous legal awareness camps, seminars, workshops, and lectures have been successfully conducted, reaching diverse stakeholders including students, educators, corporate professionals, and community members.

An expert in the implementation of the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) framework, Arpita actively supports organizations in achieving legal compliance while fostering respectful, inclusive, and safe workplaces. Her approach goes beyond compliance - focusing on behavioral change, institutional accountability, and sustainable workplace culture transformation.

She is known for combining legal expertise with practical insights, enabling organizations to build robust internal mechanisms, strengthen Internal Committees, and ensure effective redressal systems.

Through her work with Nawal Foundation, she continues to drive impactful initiatives that promote constitutional values, gender equity, and social responsibility, with a vision to create safer and more just spaces for all.
